IGNITING Women in Business provides rural women entrepreneurs an opportunity to connect, learn and build their network. Through a series of initiatives including a speaker series, young women in business gala, and retreat we hope to inspire and empower diverse rural women in business across Nova Scotia.

The theme is 'relearning through a women's lens'. The sessions will offer a space for women to discuss challenges that are faced by rural women in entrepreneurship.

To kickstart the program, this three-part speaker series will provide women in business a chance to learn from other entrepreneurs' experiences and expand their local network. At our Yarmouth location we will hear from Jessica Ghaney of Tradezie about her entrepreneurial journey and Hana Nelson co-owner of ShanDaph Oysters at our New Glasgow location. Each speaker will be live-streamed between locations to expand guests’ network with others across Nova Scotia. After the speakers have shared their entrepreneurial journeys, attendees will be able to network and socialize afterward.

A?ttendees can also tune in virtually, via Zoom.

T?here will be a watch party at Navigate Startup House in Sydney, Cape Breton.
